General HAs any installed a aftermarket alarm system?

Im really tempted to smooth my locks (apart from the boot). And fit a good alarm..

I'd fit Remote central Locking first
its Not hard to install the CL kits
So a Few More wires for door Sensors cant be hard to join into
Just would need to relay the Siren in the engine bay really

I just fitted this to mine, after ripping out the clifford one, which was a pain in the rear end

David, have you fitted the alarm you got from Amazon. How is it and how easy/difficult was it to fit as I was thinking of getting the same one. Do you have to have the voices on, as they may annoy me!

The Question i have is
If you fit an Aftermarket alarm on
Will it be happy if you still used the key as well?

Ie you've locked it with the Remote - but opened it with the Key
Would it think it'd been broken into? and set the alarm off

Also - The siren - do you have to have the siren connected up? as i have 2 nice loud horns - surly i could get away with using a Double switched relay to use the horns as the alarm
