Hi everyone,

Sorry, I am a newbie, but I was hoping you could help me with a dilemma.

I want to hardwire my Viofo dashcam into my 2004 Punto Mk2, but I am a bit lost as to which fuses to tap into. I have all the necessary gear and equipment, but I just don't want to cause any problems.

My fuse box diagram is the top one on this page - https://www.startmycar.com/gb/fiat/punto/info/fusebox/2004/trims-classic#anchorfusebox0

If anyone could lead me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Stephen

Hi,

If you want the camera to have power only when the ignition is on, you can tap from the cigarette lighter fuse. This should give it power when you turn the key in the ignition, even if the engine is off.

If you want the fuse tap out of the way. F21 at top left is a switched live. It is for rear electric windows which I've never seen, so is an empty, but functional slot.
