General Happy with Stilo JTD MW

This was taken after I went to Hartford from Bristol & back again, It was higher but after 20mins in Bristols snarl up Christmas cheer it went down to this ...in photo...steady 70mph.

Any cruise control or just a light foot?, good to get it that high, these are great on fuel for a big car. good stuff

Driving with City on all the time wont help the Electric power steering

No cruise its an active, just keep it just under 2000rpm most of the time.
City as I was in the traffic at the end, coming off the M/way it was showing 71.9mpg...If I ever get that again I will stop & take another photo, I can hardly beleive it myself, it avaerages about 50mpg arond town !? I have had 3 stilo's before this, the 1st was a 2002 1.2 6 speed 3 door,not good 42mpg at best & it used to struggle uphill on m/way, the 2nd was a 2003 3 door JTD that never got past 47mpg but stayed above 38mpg in town, 3rd was a 2006 JTD MW 50mpg tops to cornwall & back to Bristol ....just! This one a 2003 MW JTD is absolutely amazing, I think it must have a remap, havibg said that it also seems to lack mid range power until 2000rpm then it takes off, I have wondered if it has a higher diff fitted ?

hmm good strong engine then. fit cruise control, you might have the white plug to the left of the steering column.

I get around 56mpg on a run and around 48/50 around town, was your 06 MW and JTDm? if so any better fuel mpg

Well i don't think the Jtd and the Jtdm are that much different. Doesn't seem ant quicker or better on fuel really.
