Handbrake light stuck on

My 03 punto. Has handbrake light on. Sensor is working as I swapped it other after I loosened. Cable a bit then went off then came back on have not checked rear brakes yet. But could the brake fluid bottle have any thing to do with it?

Yes, check brake fluid, also checkbrhe electrical connections on top of the brake fluid reservoir.

Handbrake warning light is also brake fluid warning light on many (but not all) cars.
