How simple is it to repair/replace the handbrake cable...wife has a 1.6 petrol multi & the cable is very, very loose!

Thanks for any advice - all greatfully received!

Hi Halemulti

Having just replaced my front handbrake cable in about 20mins I can tell you that it's really easy.

If you need to adjust it, you need to lift the fake leather cover of the handbrake, which will reveal a white nut, about 2 inches long. Turn this clockwise to tighten the tension in the cable, which will pull the hand brake on much sooner in the handbrake travel.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need to replace it.

Cheers
