Any recommendations for handbrake cables that the crappy basic white plastic plug that supposed to stop the cable pulling through into the car, inevitably brakes allowing said cable to go slack? I've replaced these cables twice in as many years for this issue, last time a garage replaced them as part of a axle replacement and brake work... Drivers side done the usual, stupid white plastic but broke up and the cable has gone slack.
I've dodged a circlip on the end to stop the cable sheath drawing though into the cabin, and that has fixed it for now, nice firm handbrake cables. But he's only a temp bodge , instead it's replanting again with another cable with the same crapo design plastic bit, are there any makes that have upgraded this bit for something a little more advanced ?
