Had problems with Front Wiper linkage??help!

hello,

ive a P reg 1.4sx and the front wipers are very noisey and dont set down properly.they also seem 2 move further up the window when doin 80-110!!

any1 else had this?

is there a cure?

how much is a new linkage??

cheers 4 all help and responses im stuck on this one!

mine do all the same as yours. however, i have a suggestion with regards to them not settling properly. after use, quickly hit the stalk upwards and they will drop down into the recessed position. it has to be straight after use though otherwise it just starts wiping again.

Mine park in the correct positions and all but they do make an incredibly irritating clunking noise. It really gets to you, especially in traffic! I know i have to check the linkages but one of the screws that holds on the plastic cover has rusted away so it will be a pain to get the damn thing off whenever i get around to it! Anyway im assuming that its just a loose connection in the linkage somewhere. Has anyone solved this problem?

when putting the plastic cover back on after getting to your front wiper motors make sure you inter-lock both plastic parts before putting them back on. I lost 2 hrs of life due to trying to put on sid eon then the other side on.

join them together before screwing them back on

and the green plastic fixing's, you can pull them out with pliers without too much fuss, but not to many times as they become knackered.
