Sorry i cant help with the first question, but i can with the second - H4 is P43T, but R2 bulbs are P45T.

I've had H4 bulbs on the p45t/R2 fitting for the last two years local motor factors had them.

Thanks, so that means a p43t to p45t adapter will take any h4 bulb in an R2 socket?

I found some yesterday, at least i think I did. They were called p43t/p45t adapters at £3.50 each.

Emailed the guy just to confirm and i'm awaiting a reply. I pasted the link in my sent emails but outlook's refusing to open at the moment. After i've restarted the PC i'll let you know the link
