General H&R vs Eibach

Hi all,

I'm looking to lower my car and have been looking at the following.

H&R 35mm all round
Eibach 30mm all round

Can any one give me feedback about them.

I've heard the Einachs drop is more than they say. Is this true?

I have 18's Riva Alloys on and ideally would like the top of the arches sitting about 1/2 inch above top of wheel.

To be honest, I would never be happy with springs.
Coilovers give you the choice of how you want the car to sit.
30-35mm is not a lot on a Grande Punto at all.
I had mine lowered on H&R springs and shocks, 50mm front and 40mm rear and it looked like a standard height car from other manufacturers.
Fiats have really large arch gaps from factory.

Especially as you have 18s, you'd be better off with coilovers.

And in my honest opinion, eibach over h&r, I didn't rate their suspension at all.

On my Punto I have had both sets of springs Coilovers and air ride and I have bought koni dampers with H&R springs now. Depends what your after really. Coilovers give you a choice of how you want it to sit but the ride is really hard. Air is easier to adjust but pricey. I prefer the koni dampers and H&R springs personally. Good all round I drive on some bad roads so the comfort is still there which is what I wanted. I run OZ superturismos 18" with 205 40 18 tyres on and have no issues with it doesn't sit mega low but handles good and ride quality still there and at £311 off eBay brand new I think there worth every penny
