H, I'm going to stick my neck out here and say outright It's going to be The coil pack as prime suspect, then the spark plug. I have a couple of coil packs given to me by Taffy on the other forum, I don't know if they work or if they are shagged. I could test one I suppose by trying it in my coupe.
Anyway you are welcome to have one to test if you like.

I would stick with it Mr Mallet, sounds like it's something very simple to cure. My coop was cutting out on me last week at 3k rpm but eventually sourced it to a stuck injector. You can check your injectors easily my just removing the fuel rail (20 min job) and given them a few taps :)
