Bought the official grande punto mats for the m-jet yesterday, just noticed that they came with some type of screws. But its quite hard to understand the instructions.

can anyone point me in the right direction to find a guide, or better yet, advise me on how to do this?

To get it to fit spot on I:

1. Put tape on the floor
2. Put the mat in then drew around the holes in the mat onto the tape
3. Mat back out
4. Work out roughly where the centre of the holes are on the tape and get screwing!

(I just pushed then screwed, it does get very hard towards the end)

Hope it helps.

Lay the mat where you want it and mark the carpet (I used a white marker pen) then put a small hole there with say a small screwdriver, then screw in the floor carpet lock, put the carpet on and turn the locks.

Job done, no magic! :)

OHHHH i see, (y) ......im sure everyone would agree that the instructions that come with this, does very little to help...lol

White marker pen? tape and a good old fashioned black marker, not drawing on carpet ;)

 Its not permanent, it rubs off and is hidden under the plastic screws when fitted. Your makin a freekin hole in the carpet why would a tiny white fluffy dot in exactly the place the hole will be stress anyone?

I've used a 2" velcro strip. One half on the back of the floor mat and the other obviously on the carpet. Holds the mat really well and saves all the mucking about.

Thats OK on aftermarket copies but with the genuine item the fixing holes look Ga*h with nothing in them. Do it properly I say...

hey

The manufacturers can be reet boogars for that..... id go to a garage..... actually you could try a site called http://www.quickhubs.com i know they specialise in genuine fiat mats and they often have advice on their site.....

good luck
