DVD Quality is more than Good I can say, I played an HD Video on it and seriously you couldnt tell it was being played on the Head unit I honestly thought the quality would have been abit more poor but preformed really well. (y)

Sorry to rain on your parade but those chinese headunits are terrible. nowhere near the sound quality and processor power of the nexus7 or any other renown brand tablet.

I was looking into buying one but after testing it in a BMW, I changed my mind.

To some it might look good, but for anyone looking for good technology or/and who cares about audio quality, they're just terrible with the worse amp quality I've ever heard.

Can tell you from first hand experience that it's exactly the same quality as the stock bravo head unit.

Maybe to your ears it does, it's subjective. besides, when you care about sound quality you don't simply use the stock headunit, you add external amps and better speakers. and with those, the chinese headunit's clipping sound and distorted bass becomes even more obvious. it's just painful noise for someone accustomed to high quality audio.

You can't take shortcuts when it comes to Audio quality. chinese headunits use the cheapest lowest quality components in their amps to make their HU as cheap as they are.
Alpines, pioneers, sony and other good brands cost way more than the chinese junk because they use the real stuff.

I like a good quality sound system. Nothing worse than terrible audio.

However I shan't justify the thousands people spend just to get a minor increase in quality. Merely pointing out that If you use the stock head unit, then this is on par with quality.

I have to Agree with you on that, This headunit is value for money, I was looking for pioneer and one of the reasons I didnt buy one is they are over priced, they look terribly ugly and they just wont look right inside the fiat bravo interior.

This "Chinese Headunit" Looks good overall it has a good boot time, Sound Quality does sound same to the Fiat Bravo Standard Headunit IMO. Its also louder and if you find that the bass quality is not good you can always have the option to change the equalizer, when you look at this headunit you feel as if standard factory fitted from Fiat Bravo with the buttons and color coded match.

No it's not.

literally anything is better than that chinese thing's audio processing components and amplifiers.

what I get from reading your post is that you actually don't care about high quality audio in which case by all means, enjoy your headunits that has £90 worth of cheap chinese made components.

To anyone else who's planning on upgrading their speakers, using that HU is the worse mistake, better get a real stereo from a real brand.

As BravoCity agreed

It is.
I've listened to both head units and it's the same quality

What I get from reading your post is that you're going to judge a product without seeing/using it

I'm not saying it's as good as high quality head units and frankly I don't care provided it's the same quality as the original, which it is.

I wanted a HU that looked stock, not a pioneer monstrosity sticking out of my dash.

you're clearly not reading my posts since I said that I tested one of these. I tested it a lot with different amps and speaker setups.

I also spoke to the chinese guys who build them to ask them if they are planning to improve their internals and they flat out admitted to me that their product is meant to be as cheap as possible and they know that they're using the worse components but they're not gonna change that.

I'm not gonna convince you so I'm leaving these posts as a warning for other people who care about audio quality.

We all know that "Chinese Head unit" will have no way near the sound quality as those well known Branded head-units which you mention.

But I done my research before I purchased this headunit I played nearly every YouTube video which shown this headunit and yes from the video most of the recording was very poor and did make the headunit look bad, but I still took a gamble after installing the headunit I can say it sound very (alike) to the standard headunit BUT if you do turn the sound very very high the sound will become distorted but that's what the equalizer is their for....

As for saying that you have spoken to Chinese guys who build these headunits Im aware that chinese sellers spent very little on the cost to make more profit on these headunits but they no way will say (they know that they're using the worse components but they're not gonna change that) remember they are here to sell you the product not to put you off.

I spoke to 5 sellers on Alibaba and none of them said they are using the worse components.

Overall if you are looking for a headunit which doesn't break the bank, and looks as if it was factory fitted from fiat this headunit is for you if you going to drive around listening to music on volume 20 then maybe you shouldn't buy this headunit.

If you are still in doubt about if you should buy this headunit of ebay it comes with 2 years warranty aswell as 14 days return, So if your not happy with it you can return it.

I didn't speak to some shop owner on alibaba, I spoke to a person from the factory that was the only one making those bravo HU at the time (there could be other ones now).

If you know how alibaba works (especially ali express), 99% of the sellers there are just small shop owners or resellers and not the actually company that makes the products.

I am used to discussing production methods and technical specs with the chinese as part of my work so I went straight to the source to ask if the bravo HU was as bad as the BMW I tested.

You make a valid point with ebay return policy, it's safer that way especially since many of those HU have issues out of the box. But don't count on that with Alibaba, you have to pay to return it back to china which costs a lot of $£$£ and wait for the seller to maybe send you another one without making things more complicated.
