Not sure how far I am through but on a mission called Undress to kill, where you have to enter an open building interior with a few cover opportunities and kill 3 men while fending off security. At the moment its really boiling my ****....they haven't sorted the problems with the GTA combat system and the new cover dynamic makes the problem worse. I'll walk you through what happened last time.
I walk in unarmed so as not to attract attention and having located all 3 targets go for the one closest the door first so if they try to escape I can shoot them on the way out, I want a shotgun...so I scroll through 3 other weapons to get it however obviously on the game screen niko is juggling weapons like circus act so the target responds to the first one and i'm lucky to get the first shot in. After the security have run in and also been dispatched with the shotgun I head outside. The area is more open with cover for them to hide behind but none for me so I stay in the doorway of the room where bad guy one dispatched, shotgun is the wrong gun for this, so a quick juggle to the AK47 and then pull left trigger, it immediately auto aims to someone behind a counter leaving the man standing up to his left firing at me, knocking the stick takes me to another man in cover, manually moving the reticle is the only way to target anybody dangerous. So I'm doing this when a man appears behind me and starts beating me up and is too close for a gun kill, fine, I juggle back to the baseball bat, having shown him all my weapons I pull left trigger...and it locks on to a totally different person and finally give up and just use right trigger to swing the bat. He's down YAY...but wait the police are here now, with shotguns and I'm holding a bat! Bash the D pad! Got the AK out now but they've closed in. Time to move! Firing on the move means relying on the autoaim!
JUST ARRGGGGHHHH!!!! Its a mess if they had a quick weapon select like Mass Effect for example it would be so much better, Also auto aim is a joke in close combat or covering enemy suitations still like the game just wish to destroy it!
