Technical grundig cd player

Hi everybody
can anybody help me I have a 1997 merea 2Lt 20v which I have just brought and while the radio/and tape are working ok the head unit will not read the cd player. I have checked the connection under rear seat and that seems fine but it seems no power to the unit what can I check?

check the cable is connected behind the headunit.

Hi I have taken out the head unit and all connections seem to be ok,
Is there a inline fuse anywhere that I could check or how to check that power is getting to
the cd unit.

no fuse.

you can check for a live signal on one of the connector pins at the changer. i cant remember which pin but there is a previous thread in this section explaining how to use the lead to get an ipod or similar working with the headunit, and that thread describes what each pin is for including which is the live pin.
