Greetings all,
Tried to do a search cos this seems a fairly popular topic but no joy. I've just purchased a (french) 1996 Brava with an AD182L head unit which obviously just takes cassettes.
Am I right in assuming that this head unit is not compatible with a CD-changer? I've researched the net a fair bit but can't find a definitive answer.
If it's not compatible, what are the sensible options? So far, i've come up with the following solutions:
1)Buy an MP3 player and cassette adaptor (!)
2)Swap the head unit for an aftermarket head unit / CD player. Apparently you can get a mounting / fascia to fill the hole in the dash - does this really work?
3)Buy a used AD182H head unit (if such a thing exists) and then add a SONY CDX-T69 CD changer (or similar).
What i'm trying to work out is which will be the best long-term solution and which is the most cost-effective and practical.
Any advice would be much appreciated otherwise i'll be off to buy a lorry load of blank cassettes!!
)
Cheers,
