Grey to grey colour change - DVLA

hope this is in the right section, my sei sporting is currently grey (grigio steel) but im looking to have it painted another shade of a much nicer grey. on my log book its classed as grey, so would i need to declare a colour change with htem and insurance - dont they just have like the generic set colour ie red black blue etc - thanks

thats what i thought - what about tho as its bmw grey which is darker - but surely it would just be generic grey yeah? thank bud

Yep grey is grey so no need to tell them

Might have to tell your insurance co if it is a non standard paint job as it could make the cost of repairs higher
