Hi, I just bought a Panda 100hp -- went over to just south of Belfast to get it. (All the things you are not supposed to do: although I saw plenty of ads, this was the 1st one I saw in the metal, having booked flight and ferry I was pretty much committed before I drove it...) But it looked tidy, has a reasonable mileage and a pretty full service record. Not disappointed.

The car is everything I expected: great fun to drive, very engaging, and I look forward to some fettling although some work is better left to the experts (urgent timing belt, water pump etc).

Not quite: my first "proper" car when I got my first job after being a student was a Fiat 128. A great car and all about the engine. I bought that as a 6 month-old in South Africa and it survived several years on some very ropey roads in Botswana. Plenty of oil changes and plenty of tightening of bolts, and it was fine. No rust problems!
