General Green HGT

General Green HGT

My HGT is provisionally sold to someone who sent a CV and references. ;)

I would love to keep her but I won't be able to afford to run more than one car and have projects for a while.

Do you want a sensible 2001 5-door Brava 1.2 Formula in almost the same green as the HGT? :)

Mine's been meant to go in the classifieds for a couple of months but I've been fiddling with it before sale.

Also my mechanic has a nice set of 15" Coupe wheels going cheap.

Will advertise officially if there's interest.

Cheers

John

My nephew might but the 1.2 struggles to pull the Punto along. I need something capable of carrying passengers, baby stuff and possible a wheel chair so I'm out. :)

My Punto and shed load of parts has been rehomed. £200 from the sale has gone to charity as promised. :)

I have a Peugeot 206 Gti for the next charity track day auctioned off for the Stoke Association by the end of the month.

Keep an eye on the "others" section of the classifieds for that one.

I see! Are you keeping it in standard spec then? :)

Taking Mum to and from hospital in Norwich I used both my HGT and Cloverleaf. She found the 145 more comfortable and that's why I sold the Punto (and donated £200 of the sale to a charity associated with the reason we were going to hospital).

Standard for the foreseeable future as I can not compromise comfort for my passengers.

I need something with four or more doors to take the daily driver place of my Alfa at some point because shopping, wheelchair and potentially baby stuff.

In the mean time I've had a shed clear out and my Alfa 145 Cloverleaf...

I hope everything goes ok and you dont have to go to the hospital so often.
Hope for a speedy recovery.
:)

Thanks Bill. It didn't go according to plan. £500 of the Punto sale has gone toward the funeral.

Off topic Alfa 145 update.

Completely, totally and utterly standard apart from part worn Michelin Pilot Sport 3's from a Ginetta Junior race car.

Early report my Alfa was a quick as the Punto at trap points by the end of the day. A tad sluggish to start with and she is notably "perkier" than before. So as well as a raising money for charity, getting together with a bunch of mates and having a ball on track I've given my car a Carbon clean as well. ;)

One mechanical issue. Later in the day and on my drive home my gear selector got really stiff. So much so I basically didn't have 2nd and 4th gears.

This morning I found this...

...chunk of plastic trim wedged in the linkage. Quick fix but an hour to get the battery, fuse box, tray, loom and bits of pipe out of the way enough to get to it. ;)

...I'll be spending the next month converting the video from VLC to MP4 so YouTube won't poo itself. :bang:
