is the 1.9 tdi multijet worth buying if your wanting to drive fast and would it beat fiesta zetec s tdci,s
Well by the looks of it you'll have to go for an 08 reg or earlier, as the 1.9 engine has supposedly been replaced by a 1.6 from 58 reg onwards...
Unconfirmed publicly as yet.
Interesting, not heard that; the 1.6 M-Jet has already replaced the 120bhp tune of the 1.9 in the Bravo, so it makes sense to do the same in the GP. There have been good reviews about it, and as you say it's going to be cleaner and (more importantly) hopefully a bit lighter across the front axle
Going back to the OP, any M-Jet is better than a Ford diesel which really are as rough as a**eholes imho. It's just whether you are prepared for the whole "FIAT Experience" over three years...![]()
Remap will sort that out thoughthe standard 1.9 isn't really that fast tbh, 0-60 9.5 secs. it might hav alot of torque but it's still slow lol
what about the 1.4 turbo ones they do are they any good
its 0-60 in 9.2, but i find there nothing in it between mine and my mates vectra 150 cdti which is about 8.6 0-60! Ive always consider something sub 10 0-60 a respective day to day car.
It is only an insurance group 6 car and isn't meant to be a top performer! But a remap will get you the performance if its what your looking for.. but then there the increased in the insurance premium
Is that Duncan Disorderly...? ?![]()

Don't just think about 0-60 either, rolling starts is whats important in diesels.
You don't overtake from 0 mph do you? and how many times will you race a car to 60 and stop? You don't.
