Own an orange punto sporting T-Jet. Been looking at getting a bit more power out of it with the basic breathing mods. Just curious as to what sort of HP/torque people are getting with similar mods.
Will be running:
-K&N 57S airbox
-Airtec IC
-VL36 turbo
-2.5" Cat back system
Also what sort of boost levels are safe without maxing out the injectors?

What does "safe" mean to you?
The pars listed:
-the intercooler is ok for ~230 hp;
-the exhaust is ok for ~250+ hp,
-the injectors .. not so much google "fuel injector power calculator" and you --will find slightly different values:
but the stock ones are bosch 0280158167, they are 267mm/min. good for about 170hp at 90% duty cycle.
You need at least 10% or even better 20% extra duty cicle.. for eventual problems, or if say you are running at max speed for prolonged periods... some ECUs will inject more petrol for a slightly cooler burn, in order to keep temps down. Or maybe the wastegate is stuck closed..more boost etc.
If you want more (and you do) then replace the injectors before the tune.
Alternatives:
0 280 158 108 (320ml/
[email protected]) (corsa 1.6t) ok for ~200hp @90%
0 280 158 124 (370ml/
[email protected]) ok... for 230hp @90%
But the vl36 won't go that high...
My t-jet is basically stock, with a vl36 and a decat Ragazzon downpipe.
On a Mustang Dyno ~194ps still on stock injectors, but i will be replacing them soon and i will be getting a slightly oversize intercooler suitable for 230hp)
I've had a ~5-7minute run at top speed..and ended up with a melted spark plug electrode...so bigger injectors coming soon.
Service intervals will have to be reduced!
Spark plugs replacing earlier,
Plug gap need closing a bit to ~.65mm
Oil consumption will probably increase.
