ask puntomatt... you can remap, ull see figures in the early 150horses! as your very limited with the tiny tubby on ur motor.
Also can you tell a major difference with 0-60 or top speed compared to standard??
Well i have had it done and was wondering if there was noticeable difference cos wasnt totally sure. Wasnt overly obvious.
From a standing start i have had the better of a Civic type R, Astra VXR, Fabia VRS(remapped) and my mates 2.0 tdi golf(remapped) so it must have done something
An Astra VXR
Sorry but he couldnt have been trying hard!
The Type R no, but the Golf is possible they're not as fast as people think. Unless you got the R32.2.0 tdi (remapped) sorry but he couldnt have been trying hard
Honda civic type R sorry but he couldnt have been trying hard
Really? - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/Detail.aspx?deriv=36127type r's aren't really that quick unless they are supercharged. VXR's are quite quick, especially when they are remapped!
exactly.
I don't rely on parkers specifications and don't base it on 0-60 times.
Drove the type r, type s and the vxr - not as fast as you make it out to be.
Though in order to achive that 0-60 in 6.4 ish seconds, the person is changing gear at 8k and picking up the next gear at 6k, which as said is pretty intense driving
was a local place, powertune uk i think they are called, guy called joe.
no induction kit either just standard with remap.
must just be my superior driving skills that had me competin with those cars haha
Yeah understand what you are saying. Sometimes you want that power without giving full throttle and redlining it, which is what bigger cars like beemers are like.Of the many many Civic Type R's you see driving in on the streets, you dont see many driving 'quickly' as you would an audi or bmw etc.
But they sure as hell can shift when you know how to drive one.
