Steer well clear of this motor, if your so desperate for a marea check em out in the Autotrader plenty of great tidy Mareas and good value for money too I know I just got a 1999 model 100TD ELX Weekend, 80000K, 12 months test, mint condition inside and out, goes like s**t off a shovel now I've re timed it. for just under a £1000

thanks for the advice, i wasnt desperate it was just within my current amount of saving so thought it was worth a look, i'm only after the HLX 2.0 20v, might get an ELX if i get fed up of waiting.

hi bulldog5046,if you do need parts there is a breakers in radstock with a complete sx weekend minus the lower tailgate and bumper which i had for £30.if that is patchway bristol you live its not that far away.I am a panel beater who works in bristol and would not touch the hlx simply as the other guys said you can pick them up so cheap.The damage is not that bad and would repair if the car was worth over £2500 which its not.

not far either way then, my budget was £1000-£1200 but i only have £475 ATM so if anything within that comes up let me know, interested in damaged ones as long as its only panels.

must have had the cambet changed unless going dirt cheap and doesnt need new panels.
