i have just spent an hour and 8 minuites on the phone to a call centre for GE Money (i have store cards... silly silly me)

now, I'm not usually one to moan about foreign people etc, christ, i work with them day in day out... its my job... but this call has pi**ed me off no end

the guy at the end of the phone could hardly say a word of english, and as per was reading from a script... the only problem is, each time i triued to give him my account number for the store cards he got it wrong... que 30 mins trying to get one account number sorted... being put on hold repeatedly while he 'checked' something or other (what the hell it was i have no sodding idea... i was telling him everything i he needed...) and eventually go the acc no right... now onto payment! oh yes, you guessed it! not only did this take ages, but he turned around to me and told me the payment had been refused... now i know thats not the case, ive just regiggled my loans and i have more money than i really should! at this point i lost my rag, 50 odd minuites into the call. its not often i go into one, but god i was in an awful mood, wanted to reach dowwn the fone and smack the guy in the face repeatedly with something smelly and a bit hard!

eventually told him to transfere me to someone who could speak a word of english without having to check in the dictionary what every word said was (actually said that... oops) and lo and behold, i go through to an english lass... she sounded quite fit too, kinda dirty hopefully.. ;) 3 minuites later, 2 accounts paid up and jobs a goodun!

i feel like i could batted kittens and bunnies right now.. anything remotely cute could suffer!

sorry, had to get that off my chest, or the car will be getting some stick she really doesnt deserve, and i cant be doing the rolly polly thing twice in very similar cars ;)

ha ha i registered as self employed about a month ago, today i have had 15 calls trying to sell me advert space on wall planners, one even tried to say that i had agreed and gave me dates to that effect, the date he gave me was before i had even registered!!!

You should try phoning the Abbey. i paid a cheque into our joint account and when i received the statement 3 weeks later my name wasnt on it - just hubby's. so i phoned them and the woman wouldnt even dicuss a thing with me!!!!!!!!!! not that i would have understood a bloody word she said! after nearly 3 hrs being passed from pillar to post i finally threw a wobbler and said i was emailing the manchester evening news and local rag. they arranged the branch manager to ring me and arranged an emergency appointment with her in the branch. she said that they had changed systems and most of the joint accounts had had people deleted and the system didnt allow me to be added on again afterward so we would have to open another account. my gripe was that if i had been deleted off the account by mistake why was a cheque IN MY NAME accepted at the counter into an account that wasnt in my name. so my money was in the account but i wasnt allowed to discuss any about it over the phone (although in branch i was treated like royalty coz everybody knew what had happened and had been rollocked). needless to say i was more p*ssed off than i have ever been considering it wasnt just a piddly amount. it was 40k of my money and i had no access to it!!!!!!!!!!

The first time she met my boss and he said "Hi, you must be Martin's wife" she replied with an icy "No, Martin is my husband"

When I asked why she said that she said..."Because he's a two bit nobody in a two bit company who thinks he's better than everyone else when in truth he's a complete wvnker.!!!"

B.T has to be the worst call centre ever for this.
I had a non english speaking individual actually call me up, 2 days ago saying my bill wasnt paid. After 35 mins of telling him i pay by a montly payment plan on direct debit and i am actually in credit. I was then transfered to a different department 1 hr 34 mins later, i was speaking to another non english speaking person, who didnt honestly have a clue of what i was saying,40 mins later, i lost my rag, i wont repeat what i said, but i got transfered to a english person, in which it took exactly 3 mins to sort out. All this because stupid companys cant employ individuals that speak english, or obviously read it.Over 2 hours on the phone for nothing all because he couldnt read my account properly, yes i was really peed off.
Ive made a vow now never to answer my house phone again lol.
I would rather try my chances speaking to an automated computer, than a non english speaking call centre worker next time.

Mistress, ive never had an issue with the abbey, and ive been with them for 20 years... (granted, ive only been looking after my account on my own for the past 6 or 7...)

the worst thing for me is that i work in international shipping, i deal with people all over the world, day in day out, many of whom dont really speak that great english, but the communication is a darn sight better with them than it is the stupid numpty call centre desk jockies!

I'm with Abbey, they have 3 call centre locations. (Yes, i asked them!) 1 is in England, Sheffield i think, one is in Glasgow, Scotland, and the other Bangladesh. If i get Bangladesh i just quit and redial! Its not the worst, but sometimes you get a person whose accent is really think, and who'se perception oof my gkaswegian is extremely poor. The british staff can all cope, and when i hear a glasgow accent its like bliss because i can talk as fast as i like!
In fact, the other day i was trying to reduce my overdraft limit from 500 to 100 and got bangladesh. But because i'd waited in th queue nearly 15 mins i didn't hang up. More fool me! The guy kept going on about persons. I had to ask 3 imes if he'd repeat himself. Eventually i realised that 9 persons and 15.9 persons meant the interest % rate if i use my overdraft. I was like, 'oh, your saying PERCENT', to which he replied 'yes mr dickinson, its 9 persons or 15.9 persons if you are not in the preference overdraft rate' lol. Oh, and My name is Dickson and because i pay in more than a certain amount per month, i receive a preferred interest rate if i use my £100 allowance. What can you do eh? i'll stick to my norm and hang up next time i think...

the same day im waiting to move im still waiting for my £27000 and my redemption fee wavered, while trying to take the mortgage out they lost my details 3 times and also kept sending the wrong details out to the finance dept in ****ing india! tossers nearly cost me the sale of my house and all they could say was i should have given them the correct info even though i did.

followed is GE MONEY
i paid them £3200 to clear my finance off then found out afterwards that they changed there age policy to 25 even though i was told i could have finance again.

i could also bitch about Lloyd's tsb and there stupid ****ing answering machines!
god i hate having to deal with that thing lol

ring ring ring ring (recorded voice)the other person has cleared

usually follow by a phone bouncing off a wall
