General glow plug help

hello all happy new year hope someone can help me i have a ulysse mrk1 had a problum with the glow plug light not comeing on and the car wont start changed the glow plugs still was the same then changed the relay worked for a day the light wont come on again and wont start if i take the power away for a second the glow light comes on and it will start can anyone help me

its 1.9td hope for some help

dont know how true it is but ive been told by RAC that the ulysse is a common rail so glow plugs shouldnt really make any difference..

What do you by "if i take the power away for a second ", do you mean turn off the ignition? It seems you have a problem with the relay for the heater plugs. Are you getting power to the plugs? This is the 1st thing you need to test. Then work back if you'r not. I did have a new set of plugs that lasted about 2 weeks before 2 of them died. Get decent ones, they are hard enough to put in once. The set up in the 1997cc engine is different, I presume you are right in saying its a 1905cc unit?
