Glovebox latch problem?

Hi,

Glovebox refuses to close for me unless I use a lot of "persuasion"

I don't seem to be able to take apart the glovebox to get at the locking mechanism and see what's lose/stretched. The actual glovebox handle is hanging down as well (not flush anymore). I'm guessing this points more and more to a duff spring?

Anyone got any ideas on how to take the glovebox apart to get at this locking mechanism?

you have to use a knife and cut at the connection of the inner and outer plastic, then glue it all back together. As I know that is the only way to get inside to the mechanism.

Here's my glovebox:

You can see that the handle is sticking out (Not too bad here since the glovebox is actually closed!).
This is making it difficult to close the glovebox.
