Hi,
i was just wantering if it was possiable to fit a lock to my glove box, as at the momemnt its not lockable.
If so how would i do it?
Thanks

as far as im aware i dont think any of the punto's have a glove box lock so you wont get anything thats just a simple swap.,., i could be wrong though, jus that ive never seen one.,.
if there is one then you could just buy the glove box door from the scrappy and fit that, with a lot of cars they dont really need the original key for the glove box, just the same type of key.,.,
i opened a new honda accord one in the dealership with my house key.,.,

ah ok thnx for the comment. i shall have a hunt around

^^ oh right ok, well i got a punto sx 85. do you recon that if i got a locking one from another punto it would fit? thanks

Sorry for offtopic but what's the point of lockable glove box (except on cabrio)? What, you drive around people that love to mess around your stuff? Friend of mine drives a Golf GTI ~20 years old that came as standard but, as i said before, whats the point? Good enough for me is that i can lock entire car when i leave him. Of course this is simply my thought but i'm curious to know is there some real purpose :)

fair point, i was just thinking that it might be an idea to have somewhere to put things like the raido front panel or insurence docs, money ect if i was to park it and not have a bag or anything to take the stuff with me. But if they are not really that secure as beau ses then i dont think i will bother. its just that most theifs from cars are oppertunistic so if there are more obsitacles thn it might act as a deterent. might just get a lockable money box type thing or sumin.

Leaving important docs, money and cd player panel in car? Man, you english people sometimes amuse me :D. I like to keep my valuables close to my heart, makes me sleep at night. Anyway pic says more than 1000 words so here's a typical example of typical serbian driver...

Ha ha..,, the mental!!.,., and pointless? if you were to rip off in that thing that chain would snap like a piece of thread!! .,.,lol., good laugh though?!!.,.,

gt3man, i could try the sneeky approach...any examples of that?

IMO detattaching your radio front and leaving it in the car just defies the whole object of them.

In my glove box atm is an in-car charger wire, a pen and a notepad a pair of latex rubber gloves (incase I need to change a tire) and a pack of chew-its as i'm diabetic.

Leaving anything of value in the car just means when its nicked you lose a lot more than just the car.

you could be extereeeemely vigilant and just get an a4 bit of paper, and write on it 'Theres No Valuables In Here :) ' and stick it to your windscreen?
