Passed my est and bought a wee black w reg fiat punto, no red key, mot 11 months, and yeah i paid double what the guy bought it for! im a total mug! its died and the aa bloke said its needing a new sump also needs the cylinder gaskette replaced( the hed is fine the rest of the engine is fine), i was totally ripped off, the bonnet cable has been cutt and i dont know what o do i cant find a decent fiat garage, any ideas on cos or where i should turn in this never ending situation, ps i love my wee car, but is it worth it?:bang:

ah glasgow, not any help now but u should,ve taken someone in the know with u when u bought the car u,r only hope now is do u know any male friends who are handy with cars & handy with aset of spanners.

Hopefully rampage can help. If not all i can recommend is that you find a wee independent that someone recommend and you take it there, doesnt need to be a fiat specialist, as guessing its a 1.2 8v they'll have seen plenty of them.

Many thanks for all members kind help, i love this site so much its kinda restored my faith in car owners/dealers/ iv no experience and this is a fantastic place for me to understand what iv been missing taking the bus!! heres hoping i get my little star back on the road, hell i might even get into this big time, cos my wee star is a lovley car just needs an owner with more experience to get the best from her!! xax

ouch, sounds like a but of a sore one. your best bet is to work out how much ots gonna cost to fix, ( i could recommend ya a few gd places near buy that wont rip ya off) and then onc eyou know how much its gonna cost, work out if its worth reparing.

O Well iv got a wee bank loan to cover the costs, a local garage in mollinsburn will pick yer up and let me know the damage when they crack her open, should knw the full costs in a few days, recon i might just have a few wee glasses o vino to dull the pain!

Why why why do people wanna ripp me off big time ! hey and the best of it is they are keeping me waiting for me car for over 2 weeks what the hell is that all about? im sinking fast ere and loosing the will to drive never mind the will to eep calm!:bang:
