Ghost image

Right, I've messed up my laptop...when I first got my laptop, I made a ghost image of it, with just windows installed, and a few programs (firefox etc).

My step dad has a bootable usb stick, and before I've done something with that to load the ghost image thats saved on my slave drive.

Does anyone know what I need to do? Step dad isn't back for a while and its pissing me off lol.

eh I don't get what it is you want to do?!?

If mean you need to boot from the usb drive you will need to go into the laptops bios and set the usb stick as the first boot device, alternatively some laptops you can press a key at the post screen to set a one time boot device.

Or just Google hirens boot cd, burn that to a cd and boot from that

Easiest way is to boot from the Ghost CD - this will then ask you where the image is (when it finally loads up, it takes ages) - so you just select it from your slave drive and all is recovered.

I agree with ben to use bootable CD, before using the USB stick, you still need to create the bootable disk and set in BIOS
