Hi, Has anyone managed to source and fit a new scuttle and engine cover for an X250 Ducato them selves? Is it an easy enough task? Mine is out of warranty and I don't want to give any more money to Fiat than I have to unless I can get one for free.
My van is in a (good) local garage for new glow plugs fitting which is adding up to stacks of cash thanks to the good old water problems. Despite the libral amounts of wax Fiat had put on the head, the garage had two glow plugs snap on them which they had forewarned me might happen for other reasons whilst trying to get the head off they spent a day trying to get the rusted injectors out and also had four more rusted bolts snap in the head. The garage owners words went along the lines of its a disgrace for a 3 year old van to be like this. So i am a little shy to rely on wax again and would prefer something a little more permenant as I was hoping to keep this van for a good few years yet.
Cheers
Tim
