Hi,

I have managed to lose the only key I have to my 1998 Fiat Ulysse
does anyone know the procedure for getting a new key? Fiat have said
new key and barrels.

I have the key number and the immobiliser code, can it be done from these?

Thanks

Steve

Have you spoken to an auto locksmith or your local branch of Timpsons?

If your immobiliser is activated by a chip in the key (my 1997 Ulysse has a keypad), check first that you will not have to change the ECU if you change the key and barrels. If you do, you can sometimes pick up the whole lot secondhand.

Good luck
Chris.

Just been let down by a locksmith, I gave him the key number and the immobiliser no, he agreed to come to my house at 10am, called at 10.30 to say he wasnt coming as his machine could not cut the key from the code given. He said too many digits.

Spoke to another locksmith - looks like the ulysse has citreon locks and my original locksmith was trying to cut a fiat key???

Think the dealers might be in order.

Hi, It is a Peugeot/Citroen, the blank should not be a problem but since you don't have one to copy I fear you may have to go to Main dealer, also I have not been able to find a locksmith who can code a blank, I think you need the Lexia/Planet programme and more importantly somebody who can use the laptop with the programme.

Hello there!
Did you have any luck???
What area are you in?
It may be worthwhile asking a local RAC guy if you see one. I know they sometimes have numbers for local/mobile locksmiths who are GENERALLY quite helpful!
Hope this helps!
