Hello
New to the forum, and having recently purchased a Punto GP am loving it (or my wife is)
One thing I cannot get to work is Media player though. Phone side of B&M seems to work very well, but buggered if I can get any MP3 devices to play
So far tried plugging in my Creative Zen, a portable HDD, her creative Zen Micro..
what actually works on these things? is there a device size limit?
All the manual says is plug in your media player/device/storage and play everything. Useful

Tips and tricks to hear music please :)

Welcome to the Forum, and congrats to the GP!

Sorry, I have no idea about the Creative Zen, but if I remember correctly, I've read somewhere that it doesn't work with Blue&Me. Do you happen to have a normal usb pen drive? The pen drive needs to be in FAT16 or 32 file system. And important that Blue&Me cannot play back DRM protected music files. Also, from my previous experience Blue&Me doesn't like pen drives larger than 8gb.
Let us know if a simple pen drive with DRM free MP3, WMA files do the job.

Reading various things it appears to support very little in terms of storage and the manual
Is a joke when stating 'just connect your device to play all your tracks'
Maybe dealers should point out practically nothing works!

Managed to get some tracks on a 4 gb kingston memory stick and that appears to work fine
After wasting my time trying all sorts of devices. Not impressed. Maybe they should release these sorts of toys when they work better!!?

I've got my iPod (video) to work with B&M. As long as the files are all MP3 they work. I just plug the player in before or after the car is on and the majority of the time it comes on automatically. Sometimes you have to flickt between radio/CD/media player etc.

My problem now is that in one of my USB sockets, the plastic piece that fits to the pins came out when I pulled my iPod lead out. I tried putting it back in but I dropped it inbetween the casing surrounding the socket and the face of the socket in the glove compartment......have used the secodn USB point, but sometimes my stero display shows AUX instead of Media player and I cannot change tracks on the iPod. When in AUX mode, it sometimes changes to the radio for no reason whatsoever.

I wonder if you can but the piece of plastic inside the USB socket?!
