What difference in power?
Mk1 and Mk2 are rated the same. Its just they called the Mk2 '100'. The 1.8 isn't 115BHP either.

from what ive read on this forum, i thought the mk1 1.6 is 90bhp and mk2 1.6 is 103bhp. are the figures wrong?

thats very wrong, the mk1 is 103 BHP and the MK2 is 100 BHP...so i understand

Yup, unfortunately the "buyers guide" on this forum is incorrect. If you look at the brochures both are listed as 103bhp.

The detuned 1.6 was never an option in the UK. Infact I don't know where it was sold, if at all.
Mk1 and Mk2 are the same major castings, the difference is Mk2 had a plastic inlet manifold, a cat in the exhaust manifold and a non-sequential ECU.

Ash, can you map any other engine models?
In my case it would be a Marea 150ELX 2.0 VIS, (2001 M.Y., Eu.3 spec.)

not being tight. if you read my initial post it was telling people about a service chipped uk are offering as angel tuning dont offer this for the 1.6. I havent finished doing the performance mods to my car so getting it re-mapped would be a bit stupid at the moment.

hi carol i cant do all the 20v's as the newer ones dont have a removeable chip. i can possibly do the earlier 147 20v engine but not the newer 155 version.
