Don't know about having a bumper lying around, I should be inclined to fit airbags and an external roll cage. It might be safer to wear a HANS neck support and crash helmet as well.

I like K10's this was a K12. (n)

I've a soft spot for the k12, more powerful engine than the Panda though, so not surprising you were left behind :p

You can get a 1.2 K10...it even has door pockets..

I always liked K9 but then I grew up with Tom Baker as the Doctor. (y)

Oh hang on, you're all talking about something tinnier and less useful :D

Panda thread, so seriously in danger of :Offtopic: if you start admiring Micra's!! Points to Jon for mentioning a Panda at least..... My vote is K10 btw if you insist.

Can I start talking about 2CV's please, as I think I might need to buy one at some point just to get it out of my system

My mum said she saw a Panda in town, it was a blue non sunny.
I asked her if it was a Cinq, she said no it was a Panda... to be honest it was probably a Beetle, but she would never know the difference. :p

Also, who has the highest mileage Panda?

My friend has a 1992 CLX (I think) Panda with 140k on it, although it's not on the road he uses it to drive around his land.

She might have meant a mk3?

Seeing the blue colour in auction watch makes me envious, my whole find a bolt thing for my linkage was initially solved. BUT some serious stuff must have gone on with my colour as the original seems to have been ripped out leaving little thread, so i need to drill/tap the hole to replace the m7 with an m8 that i already have. I wonder what could have happened?

I know it's accident damage by looking, the bonnet is very suspect.. wonky and glue from the frame has come away from the outer skin

But it wont take much longer (hopefully) for her to look respectable :)

MEP has one at 115K, mines just at 111K.

No because I play the Panda game with anyone whos in any car i'm in. What you do, is every single time you see a Panda you have to shout "Panda".
I love the mk3 (If it's in Mambo Yellow, the shout gets louder) ... people find it annoying when some **** shouts "Panda" 10 times during a journey. (y) But, it's safe to say she knows what a mk3 looks like.

p.s. I shout something else when I see the enormous 600.

Benji has my old 4x4 which had 210,000 on it...:D...think you will find he has the most miles.

Quote from Honest John at the Telegraph "There are plenty of original Panda 4x4s still romping around with over 200,000 miles under their wheels." http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/fiat/panda-4x4-2005/

There was an article ages ago about loads of 250-300k mk2 4x4 Panda's still in farm & police use. I thought it was in the Telegraph but I can't find it online. Wish I'd cut it out at the time, but it was several years ago.
