General Gearstick from another Bravo?

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to replace my original gearstick, for a model which has the lift up collar for reverse. My Bravo 1.6 HLX, doesn't have the collar, just a standard original stick, which you select reverse by putting it in the right and down position. I had a Bravo 1.2 formula, which has the collar. Same position for reverse, but the collar to protect reverse. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC the controls for the gearbox on the 1.2 and 1.6 are different, so it's not possible to just straight up swap them.

Looking at the parts in ePer, it seems they are very different.

What's the problem with not having a lift up collar in the first place? Personally I hate those things with a vengeance anyway.
