General Gearbox stick

Could someone help me, I wnt to change the top of the gearbox stick.
But I can't get it off. Also how to remove the console around the gearbox. (Because the leather around the gearbox stick is very old and I want to replace it.

Welcome to the forum
Not 100% sure on the coupe but the gear knob usually pulls straight off. The gear stick gaiter pushes down into the console.
