Are you talking budget of 4k or got 4k cash?

When I was looking at diesels I found there wasn't much difference between private and dealer prices - plus the dealers were falling over backwards to give me finance. The deal I was offered even undercut my high street bank.

Just a thought if it helps you get the right car.

I will have around £3k cash and another £1k in part exchange. Don't really want finance to be honest.

There are more lower mileage T-Jet Dynamic available than sports which may sway my decision. I prefer the sport seats though.

I've found the seats in my Dynamic to be excellent. Very comfortable and supportive with an adjustable lumber support. Not sure if the dynamic tjet would have an electronic boost gauge and suspension is also going to be slightly different. I found a £130 strutbrace worked wonders on my 1.9 :)

I think I will try and sell it privately at first and see what's happens

If its any help, the garage I got my car from made an offer (basically to cover their auction costs) for my old car, but agreed to keep it open for up to a week incase I didn't manage to sell it privately. Might be worth suggesting that if it helps sweeten yours.

As it happened I sold it earlier than I planned let alone expected :slayer:

I believe the seats are much the same as on our delta they do take a bit of getting used to, at first I had them angled back too steeply like I would in most Italian cars but they needed to be more upright and at first it feels like driving a posh van! Secondly getting the relationship between seat pedals and steering right takes some time plus the correct lumbar setting. I found that I couldn't get comfy unless I had the clutch pedal at a real stretch to reach its full travel otherwise accelerator was too close leading to poor support from the seat base. Anyway used to them now and find them comfy on long runs bit deeper side bolsters would have been nice though, bravo sport owners are lucky in that respect.

That's the best post I've read about the seats. That's exactly how I found the driving postion. The accelerator pedal seems too far forward in relation to the other pedals so getting the balance is difficult. I think over time I will get comfortable with a few adjustments and a bit of time.

Will be annoyed when the 7ft mechanics mess up the seats though like they usually do come service time

i suspect that the accelerator isn't too far forward rather the clutch has too much free travel, my daughters partner has a LHD delta will try to compare the pedals the next time I see them as I suspect it is a quirk of RHD.
