I had a 5 speed Sei box that I had used TUTELA CAR ZC 75 SYNTH (SAE 75W-80 EP, API GL 5) in before as thats what the book said.

I now have a 6 speed 100hp box, so checked the owners manual, and it recommends TUTELA CAR TECHNYX (SAE 75W-85, API GL 4 PLUS).

Fair enough, shame I can't use my ZC 75 1 litre i have in the garage...but..

On http://www.flitalia.it/en/fl/index.php they now also list TUTELA CAR TECHNYX as the oil to use in a Seicento box

Think I will be ok putting ZC 75 in the 6 speed so i can use my litre up? Looks like they are interchangeable to a certain extent, or will the 6 speed not like it?

Any opinions or ideas?

Cheers,

Kristian

I tend NOT to mix oils if humanly posible ..and for the sake of one ltr is it really worth worrying about it :)

Yeah, I wasn't planning on mixing, but was more wondering if the (now checked, 1.3L) of ZC 75 would be ok in the box.

The ZC 75 is a HIGHER API GL rating, which is a good thing, but has a lower rating by 5 once up to temp which means its slightly thinner.

The CAR TECHNYX is API 4 PLUS (whatever the plus means) and will be slightly thicker once at operating temp.

I think I may try the ZC75 as I'd only need another litre container. If I notice anything bad, I'll swap it out for the CAR TECHNYX.

Will be getting it from the dealer anyway so may have a chat and see what they think.
