Hi all my gearbox blew up the other week on my 20v,and I managed to get a gearbox off the world of ebay:slayer: for £49.99 bargin!
Just thought I would say that I thought people reakon you have to drop the subframe?!:confused:Because I just managed to change mine without dropping the subframe without alot of hassle, because I really wasnt up for snapping a bolt on the front subframe:cry: and one of my mates changed the clutch on the same car before I got it and he said you could do it without dropping the subframe.

The pics are wats left of my old gearbox it really did blow the diff apart it is the worst hole that Iv ever had in a gearbox of mine:)

Yeah I know she aint happy unless shes at the workshop and always has to try and get in any photos lol

thats awesome! well done :D

you are quite right, you can remove the gearbox without taking the subframe off but its a hell of a task, thankfully when i blew up my box (no where near as good as you did BTW) i decided to fit a 20v Turbo engine :D so didnt have the painfully task of fitting a new box in situ

Ry

I was very surprised because it ended up bein the easiest gearbox change I have done it went straight on the engine and in place!to be honest I was expecting a bloody headache but ended up bein surprised!
While I was there I got round to putting my pipercross filter on so really does growl nicely now,you really have to love the noise the 20v makes.
