Hi forum,

New here but we've had the Sedici diesel 08 for about a year now. My wife likes it, a bit aricultural but it pulls fine and is a good size.

Yesterday the skys opened, we are in Devon, and she drove through a deep flood, aparently "up to the doors" but only for a few feet. She was then unable to get into 1st or second gear. A few hours later it is OK again.

It is near our house and so although she warmed the engine the gearbox was cool, a known that as a known issue.

Anyone any ideas \ worth worring about?

I have an 07 Sedici, and the term agricultural is very appropriate, but it is a good car.
I have experienced problems with the gear box, when cold it is very notchy, but this works off. I can only guess that the effect of water also brings this on. I also experienced a non engagement situation some months ago, and found that the button on the leather gatering surrounding the lever had come undone, and the material had got trapped in the gear mechanism, and was easil rectified.

Does anyone know where the air intake is situated on the Sedici, is it at a resepectable height or low down.

Here is an idea for those whose cars fail when driving through flood water.

Don't drive through it.
It's a car not a boat.
Simples.
