Hi,
I've just swapped engine and gearboxes in my 1999 Sei Sporting
Everyting is ok except a gear selection issue
For the cables i removed the back one at the balljoint and the front one with the nut which attaches to the top of the box
Comparing the old and the new box (both working) when the rear selector is moved the front (threaded part the cable attaches to) moves back and forth a few millimeters, on the newly fitted one this doen't happen
The front part can be moved the few millimeters by hand (which can't be done on the original box
I'm not sure what can be done..
Does anyone know what might have caused this?
Can the selector boxes be swapped easily?
thanks
James
