Technical Gear selection affected in recent icy weather

Have just followed joipaalli's fix for stiff gearchange and it worked a treat.
Job done and tools away in 45 mins!
The only thing I can add is that once Id located the linkage (from the photos) I found it easier to clean/lubricate from through the wheel arch.
Thanks for the tip, looks like I can postpone the clutch nightmare for another day!
