its push down reverse^^

after lots of sweat a small amount of blood and lots of swearing i got the cheap and nasty gear knob off!! thanks

you're supposed to twist off the small collar at the bottom first, that reveals 3 grub screws you can loosen with an allen key.

I've been wanting to change the gear knob on my S Reg Bravo - does anyone know of a website or shop (in the London area) that stocks 3-screw Bravo-compatible gear knobs?

I really wanted one made by a company called 'Skunk2' but it looks like they're a threaded fitting, not a 3-screw one.

Thanks in advance.

...oh, something other than the Momo & Sparco ranges would be good - I'm really after a knob that still has the gear formation displayed on the top & none of their ones do.

all universal knobs use a grub screw fitting and will fit on a bravo, so there are literally thousands to choose from. ebay has a great selection.

screw thread knobs are model/make specific.

OK thanks - I'll check out what eBay has to offer.

Sounds like actually swapping them over may be a bit fiddly, I'll let you know how I get on...

ello chap, i went for an isotta drake one but it cost me £55 from demon tweeks, looks the tits tho, and i really am useless with cars and i managed to get on with this with medium difficulty lol

Nice one, I'm also pretty hopeless when it comes to car maintenance so that gives me some encouragement!

...gotta change a tyre tonight as I have a flat - reckon I should be able to manage that though. :)

u never know!!
i went to pick up my alloys a few months ago
met him at half 9 and finished at 3AM!! lol
long night but sure was worth it!!

eh..changing a gear knob is probably one of the easy jobs you can do:D
anyone that has problems with this 10min job realy wants to seek help with other stuff that they plan on doing to thier cars, a haynes manual would be a good start;)..of course this is not going to show you:D how to do everything but it,s a starting point . i,m the first to say it,s only easy when you know the answer & yes the odd easy job can turn out to be a pain, but it never stops me wondering how some manage  well anything car related....somebody on here had prob,s changing wiper blades:confused: a while back,my wife does this sort of thing for herself & she aint car minded at all:(...this is a good site with some very knowledgeable people & i,ve been stuck myself a couple of times for answers:confused::D...i tend to hit the search button that is a good starting point(y)...there you go now thats my wee rant over for the day;).[& its an early one:eek:]
