what about mixing different brands of gearbox oils, as when i changed whole speedo sensor like 3 weeks ago a little oil went out so i added like 200ml of topgear-sae 75w-90, dunno what was in before

Shouldn't make any odds. I think FIAT now recommend a synthetic gearbox oil, but it'll mix OK with non synthetics.

ive seen this cause the oil to mush in an engine so would not recommend it for engines
i think gearbox oils of 75 spec are all crude based so i dont think the issue would be applicable for a punto box in syn and semi mix
