Any know how often the gearbox/front diff oil should be changed on a 4x4?
and rear diff? Is it really "Sealed for life"??? 63 million dolla quastion... Where to get the correct grade of oil? :)

Cheers Hillhopper! I read my owners manual but it didn't appear to be very clear about frequency of oil change, only oil grade(s) and where from (Don't say main dealer!)

Agree with HHH on the no rush, but having had a gearbox failure in my Bravo last year I feel that a change of oil periodically is a good insurance. I had a new Renault many years back and kept complaining about the gear change. In the end found it had very little in it. It was much better with the correct oil level restored.... On that car there was a dipstick for the gearbox oil so really annoying the dealer was to idle to do as asked.

There's definitely a rush. I had been relaxing in the knowledge of " life of the gearbox etc. etc." but after some odd noises and wondering...... I changed the oil on my TA gear box last night. At 65,000 kays (real klm's ;) not K Miles) it only had 1.5ltrs of dirty gearbox oil. It prefers the 1.65 ltrs, its now got quite alot more than before, well 150ml more. Get into her and give her a change at both ends. She'll thank ya for it with less whining and groaning :)
