Am About to do an oil change on my 2007 ducato 2.2
Has anyone tried Shell Helix ultra 5W-40? Am getting a good price from Euro car parts but not sure if it is the best to use as it is Fully Synthetic.
What are you guys using?

Fully synthetic at "a good price" probably is still much more expensive than mineral oil, but it is chemically stable under extreme conditions.
Of course you could use it your Ducato, but the question is why should you ?

Check the ratings against the recommended, does your van have a dpf ? If it does you need a "low ash" oil which I believe the Helix ultra extra is, not the ultra. On the 2.3/3.0 iveco engines fully synthetic is the only recommended oil, mineral or part synth will increase wear over time.

If you have a HomeBargains near you they do a Semi Syth @ £9.99 and a Full Syth at £14.99 both are 5 litres & have decent
S#/C# rating.
