Love the wheels (y)

Tip of the day: buy loads of welding gas, there's nothing more annoying than running out halfway through a job and having to drive a car with holes in the floor to Halfords for more gas

Hi Dunk,

Glad you went for these wheels – look much better than the Black ones :)

How much did you pay for the O/S Sill?

I have been looking around for a full new sill

FIAT Urmston said I’d need a whole new side at £253.90 + VAT. – then fitting on top :(
The garage that lowered my Uno quoted about £75 all in.
The Garage who welded the last plate said about £65 + parts.

I’m hopping to get it done in time for Stanford Hall, but I’m looking for best quote.

Glad you are sorting the Uno and not taking the easy rote BTW,

Regards,

 does the sill run the whole length? - I was quoted £31.24 + vat for the front sill which joins at the back quarter of the door.

- I presume its the outer sill  it’s the outside bit.

BTW How much did the total job set you back ;)

Bloooooooody hell Dunc lolz u got ur work cut out mate!!! And here i was thinking that MY list of "jobs to do" was long hehe
Love the new comp mos, they look sweet. Its hard to believe that there could be so much rust lurking under the carpets and stuff kinda gives me the creeps lolz Ur uno looks MINT from the outside as well. Glad your keeping her though :) you gona stick with the same colour? I think you should cos its a very nice colour and suits those wheels too.

love those wheels.. was never too keen on the black ones... are they 15s?

havign a good good look wound my redun today i found some more rust but nothing as bad as that! even the white ones not that bad heh. well it is in places but the strut buts are fine tbh.

will sort the red one before it gets worse :) cant wait to see urs at stanford mate. always liked urs when i had my first uno.. neverly did the mk1 boot conversion on it too heh cause of urs.

if it is sorted by then, mine will be pretty much standard at stanford.. few bits and bobs done tho.. will try get the abarth skirts and turbo arches on by then tho :) gonna drop it 60mm on 14s when some cash comes in.

Can I ask how much this is probably going to set you back??
It's an impressive undertaking! If only I could find a rust free, good conditioned Mk 2 UT and someone to buy my Cinq! :(

at i guess, about £1200 but it will be mint. thats using genuine fiat parts and a good welder. as for the respray, this will be done by my mate who owns a bodyshop and will be done at good mates rates ;)

i dont think £1200 is too bad for saying it will be as good as it can get and will last for a few years to come hehe!
