Technical Fuel tank removal Strada 1.2

Johan here fro South Africa...
Ho do i remove the fuel tank off my 2007 Fiat Strada van?
I need to get to the fuel pump to see whats the problem since it stopped working and now wont start.
I am NOT an mechanic and this will be the first time attempting this type of job?

Not Strada specific, but have done similar on Fiat Punto and Doblos.
First check fuses and relays at engine compartment fuse box.
If that appears all OK, then usually with plastic fuel tanks there will be a large circular blanking plate in floor above tank for access to the top of fuel tank to get to the pump and fuel gauge combined unit.
Some tank units are bolted into top of plastic tank but many use a large plastic locking ring with a large rubber O ring to seal it, this can be pretty tight to undo, also if misaligned on refitting will damage tank preventing good seal so be careful.

So an access hatch is unlikely, same as the vans

FPS being triggered is likely
