fuel smell

I can smell petrol in my boot of my brava i cant see any leak when i take off the sender acsess cap off does any one know if it has a venting system on it?
or perhaps it got one of those flaming exhaust kits on thats why nobody stands behind me for much longerish.
P.s its a 1.6sx
