Technical fuel pump removal fiat 500 2013

hi, can anyone advise as to the best way to remove the in tank fuel pump/sender unit? the locking ring seems very tight and I don't want to damage it. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

there is probably a special tool for it but i have had no trouble with reluctant ones ,I spray around the fitting with wd 40 or the like leave to soak for an hour or so repeat, then using FLAT head punch and light hammer using little light taps loosen and remove the ring! -if no punch's it is possible to achieve the removal with a flat head screwdriver but caution is needed not to damage the ring by hitting to firmly.
