Does anyone know if you have to take the fuel tank out to access the in tank pump. Also how would you check if it's working

I cut a 8" hole outfrom inside cab u can measure roughly where it is from underneath I used a sharp chisel took 10 minutes then u can take pump out

Thanks. Still can't find the reason for the van not starting ?

normally u can hear the intank pump when u switch ignition on if not there will be no fuel going to pump

Ok I'll give it ago tmr thanks for ur help

Is there a hatch under the wood or do you mean cut the metal to get to pump.

He means cut the hole through the loadspace floor. (Remove the wooden floor board if you have one fitted) It just saves time on having to remove/lower the tank from below the van.
You need to establish roughly where the pump is located in the top of the tank to make sure you cut the van floor in the right area. Hope this helps.

Ah thanks very much . Is there a way of checking the pump is defiantly not working. Ie putting power direct to pump etc

Well I've removed the pump put power To it and it still working! Put it all back together put the battery direct to the pump and it was pumping fuel to the filter but when I plug it back into the van still the same.still won't start. When I check the power going to the pump it's 8v i

Yeah the intank pumped when I put 12v direct power to the pump but it won't pump on car power If you know what I mean. I checked the fuel filter and it was full again but the hp pump in the engine wouldn't draw anything to the engine. So I have no clue what it is now..

plug a code reader in c what if any come up I had one similar and it was one injector changed the injector and it started

Would that stop all the fuel pumping round tho. I've taken one of the lines off a injector and no fuel getting to it.. Just don't understand one day it's running the next nothing. I've ordered a cheap reader so have to see what comes.

Just had a mechanic have a look over the car there is no power going to the intank pump all fuses are fine but still don't start. Any idear where the fuel pump relay is and if this would be a problem

The fuel pump relay is the one I told u about next to the battery, it's brown with a number 240109 and bolted to the wing.

Ah right that one :) well the mechanic couldn't find it waste of money that was.getting them out.
Cheers

I called 2 auto electricians, they both didn't want to come out as the ecu could not be read after being repaired. Perhaps they only like changing headlamp bulbs or easy jobs!
